Lots of Stuff!

I keep forgetting about this blog!
Terribly sorry!

School has been excellent.
First semester is over and I've completed a short rough film for my final.

I've also completed my internship at Augenblick Studios and it was a great experience!

Now 2nd semester's begun and I'm already working on my next film.
Here's some stuff for it.

Invaded by Frogs

I'm 20 years old now aghhh.

I have become staggeringly hooked on the anime Keroro Gunso  (Sgt. Frog).
It was such a delightful surprise to see how genuinely well-written and hilarious this show is, especially being that it seemingly at first appears to be just an anime about cutesy little frog aliens.

But no, it's excellent.
Good stuff.

Here's a DISTURBINGLY LARGE amount of fan art I've done since early August.

I totally called that Giroro would be my favorite even before watching and I was so right. He's amazing.

This is not over...BEARS!

A bunch of bears for character design exploration stuff.

Fan Art requested in a Live Stream I had the other night!

Bill is the best. I can't wait for Part 2.

Demo Reel 2013

A Demo Reel of various snippets of animation I'd done during my Sophomore year at SVA, this past year.

"That's really sweet, Mike. You're an inspiration!"

A work-in-progress snippet from a little thing I'm animating for fun/practice. It's of Bugsy, one of the characters from my swing band monster gang, synced to some of Crow T. Robot's dialogue from MST3K.

Haha, I need to work more on it!

Turkish Delight!

I can finally post what I've been working on for the past few months!
My final film for my 2nd year Animation Class at SVA, taught by Celia Bullwinkel.

It's about a little female turkey who shows disinterest in the displays of affection from the male turkeys but instead finds herself smitten with something else quite eye-catching.

This is my first digital film ever and my first time using TVPaint Animation extensively.

I must say, it's just such a great program. I love it so much.
I will definitely be using it for many years to come.
